Winter 2017 - Summer 2017
Kulisha is a startup founded at Brown University dedicated to the rearing of bugs and sustainable bio-cycling. The company won the 2016 Clinton Global initiative and has been providing innovative and sustainable sources of protein since. I was introduced to a very talented team and consulted them in production techniques and feasible methods of scaling. We experimented with vertical solutions using containerization and self harvesting techniques that would make larger scale insect rearing feasible. Through this experience I learned highly environmental practices and was involved with individuals at the forefront of insect rearing and harvesting. This was also a highly productive experience working with a startup in its founding phase and so I am familiar working at an accelerated pace from the startup environment.
